A freelance photojournalist and blogger based in New Delhi; Abhishek is the Nikon World Photography Award winner in the Emerging Talent Category, 2010-2011, for his photo titled ‘Just before the sacred dip in the Ganges’, which was also featured in Outdoor Photographer. His contributes to Exotica, The Hindustan Times; Jet Airways in-flight magazine, Mail Today, HT Mint Lounge, Air India Magazine, Asia Spa magazine and California Bride Magazine.
His work is currently been displayed in Vienna; Austria under the Indian Society of Arts in JPD gallery. He has also exhibited at the National Center for Performing Arts in Mumbai, in conjunction with Nikon.
His project on Spiritual India (The Naga Sadhus – Naked Saints) was nominated by theNational Geographic ‘All Roads Photography Program’. The Ministry of Tourism also selects a number of his travel images for the Incredible India! campaign on an on-going basis.
Abhishek has been training under John Isaac, one of the most respected and prominent photojournalist of this century! They conduct and lead photography tours in tandem within India and its neighboring countries.
Shikha Mishra is a career journalist with many years of writing experience. She began her career as a junior reporter with the Asian Age in New Delhi and wrote on theatre, art, celebrities, fashion and social events.
She then joined HT City in the Hindustan Times, where she penned eponymous fashion and food columns apart from reviewing restaurants. She was also the consulting editor on the firstHT City Guide to Eating Out, Salon Round-Up and the first HT City Shopping Guide.
In 2002, she moved to California, United States, where she continued writing for local newspapers and magazines. She then moved to Dubai and wrote for Gulf News and ITP Publications.
She returned to India in 2009, and joined the Times of India’s ‘Crest’ edition as an Associate Editor. She now blogs and heads the PR & Media division for Think Strawberries, a luxury travel representation company.
